In our ever-evolving age of sexual and gender identities, how does one own their identity when everyone has a different way to define what these identities mean? How do we get over the bridge of not feeling queer enough? Not feeling trans enough? Not feeling femme/masc enough to own these identities as our own? Let's discuss what this means for each of us and how to work through it.
About the Curator:
Aaron Ramirez is a gender non-conforming Latinx individual working to bridge the gap between mental health services and LGBTQ+ people of color. As a health educator in Queens, Aaron provides HIV & Hepatitis-C testing services to LGBTQ+ community members as well as health education to men who have sex with men (MSM) focusing on safe sex practices and harm reduction techniques. Additionally, Aaron coordinates a weekly educational and social group for 18-34 year old gay, bisexual, and queer men.
